Matthew Weatherly
Matthew Weatherly is BDI's Associate Design Director. A graduate of the prestigious Royal Danish Academy of Fine arts and Pratt Institute, Weatherly is most well-known for BDI's popular Corridor, Tanami, Sequel, and Centro designs.
"My studies in Denmark had the most significant impact on my design aesthetic. I was fortunate to have Erling Christoffersen as my professor, and he introduced me to the works of Danish Modern designers. Arne Jacobsen, Børge Mogensen, Poul Kjærholm, Finn Juhl, Poul Henningsen, and Hans Wegner are among the most influential designers to me."
Design is at the heart of what BDI does. It is their main core value, and a passion for design is infused throughout every department in the company. But they take great pride in creating innovative furniture that is not only beautifully designed.
